Essential

Always on, because the application cannot work without them. These keep you signed in, remember your language, and store your progress while you are not signed in. They are browser storage rather than tracking cookies: nothing about them is sent to a third party.

• -Your assessment progress and answers, before you have an account.
• -Your authentication session, once you sign in.
• -Your language choice and your cookie decision itself.

Analytics

Optional, and off until you allow it: until then PostHog is not even requested, and none of the entries below exist. With analytics allowed, PostHog records which screens and exercises you reach, so we can see which parts of the product work - the privacy policy lists exactly what it receives. Refuse it and the library is never loaded at all - not loaded and switched off, but not requested.

With analytics allowed, PostHog stores, in this site's own storage only:

• -A cookie and a localStorage entry named ph_…_posthog: an anonymous identifier, a device identifier and the current session. Kept for up to a year.
• -sessionStorage entries whose names begin with ph_: the current tab only, gone when it closes.
• -A localStorage entry named __ph_opt_in_out_…: that you allowed analytics.

Advertising

Optional, and only relevant on the free plan. With advertising allowed, an ad script is loaded on the pages that have an ad slot. Subscribers never load it. Ads never appear inside an assessment, a question, a result or a lesson body.

Changing your mind

Use "Cookie settings" in the footer, or in Settings. Your decision is stored in this browser, so it applies per device - and clearing site data means you will be asked again.

Opening the settings shows your current choices and changes nothing until you make a new one. Withdrawing analytics takes effect immediately, in the open tab too: every PostHog entry above is deleted, and none is written again unless you allow analytics again.
